The Week in Mornings

While I missed all of you, I thoroughly enjoyed a very beneficial week off, while our family was homeless.

During the week, I worked on mentally preparing myself for the move and the changes my family is going to make. This preparation included spending less time online, becoming more mindful, and developing an enjoyable morning routine.

This morning routine included spending time walking and taking photos. I always loved my morning walks in port, when we were on Moonraker, so I decided to make this walk–with the search for beauty that is a part of photography–a regular part of my routine.

So, I thought, what better way to share my week off with all of you, than to show you a picture from each morning (with a few others mixed in)?

On Thursday, we got together with our friends (and Beanie’s best friend!) in Saginaw (yes, this is Jocelyn, who comments regularly here–notice her minimalistic home!)…

The inside of our home for the week, a Winnebago LeSharo motor home. We’re leaving it in Michigan, so we can fly up to visit, and stay in it.

Tomorrow, we’re going to drudge through Illinois, and spend the night in Little Rock. After that, it’s onward to our new apartment in Houston!

P.S. I will elaborate on my Internet break later, but, in order to be more intentional with my time, I will be posting only 3 times a week, once this move is over, and I will be writing only 3 e-mails a day. So I will get to you!

  1. Bethany, you have been on my mind, missing you. It’s good to see the lovely pictures, btw I want to visit that land by your parents home!! I’m with you on the trip through Illinois, Loved all the pictures and hope to hear you are happily settled next time I hear from you.

  2. Beautiful pictures, Bethany! I really enjoyed them. Jocelyn looks wonderful, and it was so cute to see the kids together. I still can’t believe how big the Bean is(even if my frame of reference is only through pictures).

    • She’s 6! She’s about the size of a 4 year old though. You do know that she and Jocelyn’s daughter share a b-day, right? Jocelyn had a dream that I went into labor during her daughter’s party, and that I had a girl. She was close, but I never made it to the party!

  3. I’m so happy we got to see you before you left! It looks like the travel to Houston is going well. I look forward to seeing your new home and hearing about the rest of the adventure. Also, love seeing the girls play!

    • We’ll be getting there today! 🙂 Rob’s brother looked at the place, and he said it looks nice from the outside, and is in a good neighborhood, with lots of stores within walking distance. A far cry from Harrison! 😉
