Here is an excellent alternative to ice cream! Bananas are not low-glycemic foods, per se, but they are much lower glycemic than outright sweets.
1. Dip bananas in melted peanut butter. Allow it to cool. (You may put the bananas on sticks, if you wish).
2. Dip bananas in yogurt. I recommend flavoring it yourself, and using natural sweetener!
3. Roll bananas in nuts.
4. Freeze them, then enjoy a cool, tasty treat!
